Over the years, we have been commissioned by media owners to create content for advertiser funded micro-sites and, in this case, our ultimate client was the New York Times.
Their client, Vacheron Constantin, wanted to create a series of films accentuating the care, craft and sophistication of their timepieces.
The narrative hook was to explore the vision and craft of different artisans, from milliners to gallery curators, and draw comparisons with the finesse and detail of watchmaking.
Founded in Geneva in 1755 by Jean-Marc Vacheron, the watchmaker has its origins in the circles of the Geneva “Cabinotiers”.
The Cabinotiers worked in the light-flooded "Cabinets" just below the rooftops of the Geneva district of Saint-Gervais.
For us, this meant our films had to have a level of care and craftsmanship to ensure they were worthy of these exquisite timepieces. Every detail was meticulously planned in pre-production so that when we came to film, we would ensure that we would honour these extraordinary watches.
